I Heart Blogging

[found here]

And I’m back! (Did you miss me?)

I missed you guys.  I spend an inordinate time on the internet – looking up bits of trivia, perusing my favorite web shops and Pinterest, chatting with friends, etc. – but mostly I love being right here.  Blogging, scheduling posts, tweaking the design – I love it all.  Being away from that for even a day was weird, and I definitely couldn’t wait to get back.

I come from a very talented extended family, and being uncrafty, uncoordinated, and unathletic as I am, working on Geektastic has been a strange experience for me.  It’s the first time in my life that I feel like I’m in the exact right place, at the exact right time, doing exactly what I’m supposed to do.  It’s a little bit surreal.

I’ve always loved writing, but [confession time] I’ve never finished anything beyond poems and short stories.  I’ve started countless books, only to start doubting myself and ultimately, I get frustrated enough to scrap the whole thing.  The amazing thing about blogging is that even though I do doubt myself (mostly wondering if anyone is reading!) and I do get frustrated (screaming at my computer when I can’t get the CSS to work), I never think about giving it up.  I am finally consistently excited and passionate about writing!

Blogging definitely fulfills a creative outlet, but my absolute favorite thing is that it has given me the opportunity to connect with some of the most friendly, open-minded, and supportive people on the planet.  You guys rock!

Thank you for reading and thank you to my fellow blogging friends.  You enrich and brighten my life!

Love Tab

    Ditto, Tab!
I’m the same way – I get excited about my blogging…and a little bummed when I feel that I don’t have anything to blog about. Sometimes I’m pretty sure only a handful of people read my blog (I have a fairly large family and none of them even bother too) – but know that there are people out there that do (me being a very big fan – I love your blog!!!)…I think you’d be very surprised! You have terrific writing skills – I truly hope you didn’t get rid of anything you started on previously, as far as books go. You never know when you’ll be inspired to finish one! And it could be The Next Great American Masterpiece!!! And I can’t agree with you more about the people we get to meet through blogging! We’d never have had a chance to connect if it wasn’t for the blogosphere – and I can’t tell you have happy I am that were able to!! I think you’re a pretty friggin fantastic person, Tabitha!!!
