Hi, I’m Tab Carson.

I was born in Colorado and after my father joined the Air Force, we moved to Texas and California before settling in Bellevue, Nebraska for ten years.  I was an only child and a shy kid, so my most frequent companions were my favorite books and movies.  I developed several unusual obsessions, including classic sci-fi/fantasy anthology television shows, true crime, and Alice in Wonderland (just to name a few).  As an avid reader, I longed to emulate my favorite authors and wrote short stories in my spare time.

As I got older, my obsessions grew and I parlayed my writing interest into positions with my high school newspaper (as a reporter) and literary magazine (as the editor-in-chief).  I graduated with honors and moved to Colorado shortly after completing high school.

Throughout my life, my interests have centered on books, movies (especially horror, science fiction, and classic films), and criminal psychology.  Thanks to my ability to retain information, I have a large database of trivia that ranges from pop culture to history to literature and the arts.  (This makes me an excellent trivia contest teammate!)

After working several retail jobs (and a couple of ill-advised bouts of waitressing), I closed my eyes and made the leap to start persuing my passion – writing.  Today, I am married to a fellow geek and I work as a full-time blogger, writing for my blog, Geektastic!
